The Rutgers Center for Cognitive Science offers graduate students enrolled in one of its member departments (see list below) the opportunity to apply for a National Research Service Award (NRSA) Fellowship from the National Institutes of Health. Students intending to apply to one of these departments can also apply for an NRSA Fellowship using the on-line application form provided below. The applications are reviewed by the Cognitive Science Admissions committee and a select number of awardees will be chosen. These awards are contingent upon acceptance into one of the approved graduate programs. Note that the application deadline for an NRSA Cognitive Science Fellowship is January 15, 2001 and precedes the application deadline of some participating departments.

Note 1: This form may also be used for Notice of Application for an NRSA Post-Doctoral Fellowship -- to be followed up with a formal letter of application, and three letters of reference. If you can you should designate a potential sponsoring individual and/or home department and mention the Post-Doctoral Fellowship in your Personal Statement. The deadline for Postdoctoral Fellowship Applications is March 30, 2001. For more information regarding those Postdoctoral fellowships funded by NRSA see Post-Doctoral Fellowships.
Some of the postdoctoral fellowships in this program in 2001 are not funded by NRSA and do not carry the same citizenship eligibility requirements.
