Scanpath: feature search, 3 late-onset condition

  Subject was looking for 

  Subject made a saccade from the left side of the screen when 3 late-onset X's flashed (i.e., appeared, disappeared, and reappeared).

  The yellow dot in the left picture shows where the first fixation would have landed relative to the X's if they had not changed into the color bars,. The right picture shows the search scanpath, and during the forth fixation, the subject responded that the target was found. Note that among the 3 late-onset cued locations, the target pops out by orientation. Also, if a search was conducted over the entire image, this would have been a conjunction search:
