Our lab is located on Rutgers Busch Campus. Our address is
152 Frelinghuysen Road, Piscataway, NJ 08854.
We are located in the Psychology Building addition in the pink wing, where the Center for Cognitive Science (RuCCS) is located. Our lab is in A102 and A136, which are around the corner from each other. A big metal sculpture that looks like a double-ended funnel is in front of the building. The golf course is across the street.

NJ Transit provides a direct link to the Rutgers campus via the New Brunswick stop on the trainline. The main entrance to the train stop is located at the corner of Albany Street and Easton Avenue on the College Ave Campus (at the southern end of the platform). Our lab is located on Busch Campus, which is north and not in walking distance from this stop. However, the Rutgers bus system has routes that run from the College Ave Campus to Busch Campus, which will drop you off just outside of our lab.

From the train station, walk northwest up Easton Ave, cross Somerset St. at the light and then turn right on Somerset St. Take an immediate left onto College Ave. You will see the bus stop up ahead on your left, after crossing Hamilton St. The bus stop is across from Scott Hall. Take the ROUTE A (College Ave/Busch) bus to the Allison Road Classrooms (ARC) stop on Busch Campus. See the instructions in the next section for more details about taking the bus up to Busch Campus and locating our lab from the bus stop on Allison Road.

Take the ROUTE A or H(College Ave/Busch), ROUTE B (Livingston/Busch), or ROUTE C (Commuter) bus to the stop on Allison Road, across from the ARC building. Cross the road, walking towards ARC and the Psychology building. Enter into the Psychology building from either the front of the building (by the sculpture) or the back of the building (using the ramp), making your way to the bottom floor of the building and the pink wing.

If you are entering from the ramp at the back of the building, turn left, walking towards the lockers. Enter the stairwell through the door across from the lockers, and walk down, entering into the pink wing at the bottom. You will arrive at the main entrance of the Center for Cognitive Science. From there, someone can direct you down the hallway to our lab.

From the NJ Turnpike, heading South

Take the NJ Turnpike to Exit 9. Proceed through the toll plaza gates, and work your way merging towards the leftmost lanes, exiting towards the RIGHT onto Route 18 North, towards New Brunswick.

Once you have rounded the bend, continue to merge towards the left. Stay in one of the two LEFTmost lanes as you continue on Route 18. The “express” lanes on the left are best. Pass the Cook and College Ave exits, and continue on Route 18 North a few more miles.

Busch Campus exit: After crossing over the bridge, take the Busch Campus/Stadium Exit on the right. (If you see the exit for Metlars Lane, you have gone too far!) Follow long exit ramp past the Visitors Center on the left to the traffic circle/roundabout. Take the second road (as if you were proceeding straight) onto Frelinghuysen Road. 
You will pass a building with square glass tiles on the right, a bus stop on the right, and a gold course on your left. You will soon see the sculpture of the double-ended funnel on your right, in front of the Psychology Building and just after Allison Road. The entrance to the parking lot will be on your RIGHT.

From here, follow the directions at the end, turning right into parking lot 49-52B off of Frelinguysen Road.

From Route 1 South

After crossing over Co. Road 514/Woodbridge Avenue, and soon after crossing the river, merge onto Route 18 North. Make your way into one of the two far left lanes (the “express” lanes). Pass the Cook and College Ave exits, and continue on Route 18 North a few more miles.

Busch Campus exit: After crossing over the bridge, take the Busch Campus/Stadium Exit on the right. (If you see the exit for Metlars Lane, you have gone too far!) Follow long exit ramp past the Visitors Center on the left to the traffic circle/roundabout. Take the second road (as if you were proceeding straight) onto Frelinghuysen Road. 
You will pass a building with square glass tiles on the right, a bus stop on the right, and a gold course on your left. You will soon see the sculpture of the double-ended funnel on your right, in front of the Psychology Building and just after Allison Road. The entrance to the parking lot will be on your RIGHT.

From here, follow the directions at the end, turning right into parking lot 49-52B off of Frelinguysen Road.

From I-287

From I-287, there are two exits you could take: Exit 7 or Exit 9.

Exit 9 (I-287 N and S): Take I-287 to Exit 9 (River Road/Bound Brook/Highland Park).
 At the end of the exit ramp, make a LEFT onto River Road and follow signs for Highland Park/Rutgers.
(Turn RIGHT from the south.) Follow River Road a couple of miles. At a traffic light, turn LEFT onto Hoes Lane.
 (Note: the speed limit drops abruptly here for the residential area and the golf course crossing.)

Exit 7: Take I-287 to Exit 7 (S. Randolphville Rd) toward Piscataway/Middlesex. Turn RIGHT onto S. Randolphville Rd, then LEFT onto Old New Brunswick Rd. After crossing over Centennial Ave., continue onto Hoes Lane. Soon after passing UMDNJ on the left, take a sharp LEFT onto Frelinghuysen Rd. The golf course will be on your right.

On Hoes Lane, once you pass the golf course shop, continue to the right, onto Frelinghuysen Road. The golf course will continue to be on your right, and large brick buildings will be located to your left. The entrance to the parking lot will be on your LEFT. If you pass Allison Road, you have gone to far!

From here, follow the directions at the end, turning right into parking lot 49-52B off of Frelinguysen Road.

From Route 1 North/Brunswick Pike

Shortly after passing the exit for Rutgers Cook/Douglass Campus and Ryders Lane (which are after the Brunswick Shopping Center, and DeVry University), take the exit for Route 18 North on your right. Do not take the first exit for Route 18 South, which will take you to the NJ Turnpike. (Be careful! There are cars merging onto Route 1 as you are merging on to the exit!) Round the bend and stay to the right. You will pass a car wash on your right.

Continue up the ramp and merge leftward. (Again, be careful! There are cars merging onto the exit for Route 1 South as you are merging onto Route 18 North!) Continue on Route 18 North, merging into one of the two LEFTmost lanes as you continue on Route 18. The “express” lanes on the left are best. Pass the Cook and College Ave exits, and continue on Route 18 North a few more miles.

From Route 27

(Note: From Route 27, you can easily connect to Route 1 at multiple points, exiting to the right. The best connectors are Washington and Harrison Roads in the Princeton area (although usually slightly congested); Beekman Road and Finnegans Lane in the Kendall Park/Franklin Park area. If you do this, follow the directions above for traveling from Route 1 North.)

Soon after passing New Brunswick High School on your right, take a left onto Franklin Road. There will be a brick building on the corner. Stay in the right lane, and continue past the intersection with Hamilton Street. Continue on Franklin Road, rounding the bend and passing through a residential area. Proceed through the intersection with County Route 527/Easton Ave over a hill and onto Landing Lane.

Cross over a narrow bridge and over the river. Continue straight, through a park area (which has a pedestrian/bike crossing), proceeding to the intersection with River Road. You will see the Cornelius Low House on the hill in front of you. Take a LEFT at the intersection, passing the back of the football stadium on your right. Continue on River Road, and take a right onto Hoes Lane. (Note: the speed limit drops abruptly here for the residential area and the golf course crossing.)

On Hoes Lane, once you pass the golf course shop, continue to the right, onto Frelinghuysen Road. The golf course will continue to be on your right, and large brick buildings will be located to your left. The entrance to the parking lot will be on your LEFT. If you pass Allison Road, you have gone to far!

From Route 26/171 (Livingston Ave.)

Head northeast on Livingston Ave towards New Street. Take a right onto New St., crossing over George and Neilsen Streets. Continue straight and exit onto Route 18 North. Continue straight on Route 18 North, merging into the express lanes before the George Street exit.

Busch Campus exit: After crossing over the bridge, take the Busch Campus/Stadium Exit on the right. (If you see the exit for Metlars Lane, you have gone too far!) Follow long exit ramp past the Visitors Center on the left to the traffic circle/roundabout. Take the second road (as if you were proceeding straight) onto Frelinghuysen Road.

From here, follow the directions at the end, turning right into parking lot 49-52B off of Frelinguysen Road.

Once you arrive at the parking lot and our address on Frelinghuysen Road Turn into the entrance for Parking Lot 49-52B, to the left of the Psychology Building and the sculpture. You will see an outside parking garage on your left. Turn to the right, and park in one of the two spaces on the far left along the wall, which are indicated by signs labeled for the Laboratory for Developmental Language Studies. (Do not turn left. That is a gated lot, and you will not be able to enter.)

Upon arrival, you will be greeted by one of our research assistants, who will provide you with a designated parking pass.

After parking walk towards the wall, and turn left, proceeding along the sidewalk towards the sculpture, and then to the left, proceeding down the stairs into the glass door. (Do not go up the stairs towards GSAPP!) Once you enter the stairwell, proceed down the steps, and open the door into the entranceway for the Center for Cognitive Science.

You will see two sets of offices on either side with glass windows. By this point, you will have met one of our research assistants, who will escort you to our lab. We are located in the back hallway of RuCCS, past the women’s restroom at the end of the hall and around the corner to the right. The lab is located on a corner: A102 is out adult testing room, and A136 around the corner is our main lab.
