Recent concerns over the Pandemic lead to an increase in discrimination in banking, particularly minority-owned small businesses

A study conducted by Jerome D. Williams and his peers' argues that Black borrowers already face a disadvantage before they even file for loans. Even though the study presented the same amount of qualifications and status for both white and black borrowers, white borrowers were more likely to get an additional line of credit with their loans, as compared to black borrowers, who were not even offered the additional credit.
