This talk will provide a systematic overview on developing computational models of the next generation of narrative-driven, interactive virtual worlds. To this end, we will identify and address several key limitations in the representation,
control, locomotion, authoring, and analysis of autonomous virtual
humans to pave the way for an exciting new era of virtual human
research.
