I am an international student from China and a senior at Rutgers University studying Psychology and Cognitive Science. I am broadly interested in the early development process of numerical representation and the factors that would impact and facilitate their acquisition, including but not limited to social interventions, language, memory, and emotion. I was delighted to join Prof. Stromswold’s lab and design a project about discovering the syntax difference between Mandarin and English in interrogative sentences. My hobbies include but are not limited to playing table tennis, Kalimba, Ukulele, and Piano, and being friends with nice people.

I am a graduate student working on sentence processing. My work involves both comprehension and production experiments to establish the link between the former and the latter. I do that by employing Turkish, my native language, in certain experimental designs to establish relationship between various linguistic features and ease of comprehension and production. I also like statistics, space, and hiking.
